Our
house is a beautiful ‘maison de campagne’ (country house)
dating from 1812 set in its own grounds with gardens front and rear
and ample parking. It is about 3 km from Madiran and approximately
10 km from both Riscle (north) and Maubourguet (south).
The property has been extensively restored and the house is both comfortable
and charming with beamed ceilings and tiled floors. Traditional thick walls and
shutters help to keep the interior warm in winter and cool during the heat of
the summer.

There are three bedrooms; a double on the ground floor and two double bedrooms on the first floor, one with two single beds and the other with a double bed and a settee which easily converts into a further double bed.

|
The living room is tasefully furnished with two settees (one of which is a bed settee) and two comfortable easy chairs. For the colder evenings early and late season the living room is equipped with a woodburning stove. There are rugs, ornaments and pictures which contribute to the general ambience of the house and a small library with a range of reading materials including travel guides and brochures.

There is also an extensive well-equipped kitchen/dining room with seating for at least eight. It has an oven/hob, microwave, slow cooker, refrigerator with small frozen food compartment and a washing machine all available for the use of guests. Also ample cutlery, crockery, glasses and cooking utensils etc. |
|
Access to the large, grassed rear garden is from the kitchen/dining room where you can dine al-fresco at the garden table or laze in the sun on the garden furniture. On clear days you can see the Pyrenees from this rear garden. For more images click here. |
